I'm on the 7.1.1 april update myself and I have assistant. I did have to change my device language to English US but i'm guessing your's already is. My marshmallow running lenovo phone also has assistant.

That's fixed in the march update for 7.1.1. But I read somewhere that TMO users on 7.1.1 were getting an OTA which downgraded them to 7.0 (without a factory reset) which makes their phone unusable due to lots of crashing apps. So better look it up if try to upgrade again.

They removed the march image n OTA from the site, so probably nobody is getting it yet. Some ppl are reporting issues with android pay

If you are side loading you can get to 7.1.1 with feb update. But beware, 7.1.1 on nexus 6 makes the speaker phone during a call unusable.

And no, your current screen doesn't need to be full. You can make single icon screens.

I just made 10 screens. If there is an upper limit it ain't 5. On the nexus 6, u have to drag an icon or a widget to the right corner and a new home screen page will get created.

I signed up for beta and got the stable nougat update, then unenrolled. It still has bugs, so maybe its better you didn't get it yet.

My colleague's 5x received the update yesterday. He was not on the beta.

Turns out I was supposed to be on the MOB build but upon unenrolling from the beta I was given a MMB build and thats why I wasn't getting any ota updates. I sideloaded the MOB august update to verify this and after it was done I got the September ota update instantly. Problem solved, thanks guys

Can anyone tell me which ota i should flash since there r multiple builds for nexus 6. I'm currently on MMB30K for my international unlocked variant.

That's strange. I'll wait a few days to see if the septmeber OTA arrives otherwise I'll just have to sideload

It seems this might not be true, Android headlines reported this citing the nexus twitter handle as the source but i checked the source n it says nexus 6 n 6p will get the ota update in the coming weeks, which does not necessarily mean it has started

Google also announced that they are rolling out the nougat ota for nexus 6 n 6p starting today. Lets see what happens
