There should be a keyboard key with keyboard icons, usually, or you can go to Settings - Language and Input - keyboard of choice and resize it.

OK I'm finally close to replacing my Moto G 2013, used solely for 6 months, following 18 months with a Note 3. These 3 are now at great prices NIB unlocked in the UK. (£300 - 360). Would it be crazy going for a Note 4 after around 16 months on the market? It now comes with 5.1 here, iirc...

The app GPS Status helps with fixes and runs seamlessly. On the Note 3, tightening appropriate screws under the cover seemed to cure the issue for several. It may/should get better.

The device needs to be OTG compatible. (On the Go). Many, like the cheaper Samsung tablets, or 7 inch versions, are not. If you Google the spec sheet it should say OTG under Connections or somewhere.

I hope you get it sorted. Afaik, if an IMAP account is selected all you are asked for is the address and password and the email client / app does the rest. No need to enter account settings yourself. Why IMAP is greyed out, or what app you are using, I don't know.
