Thanks for the input. I have been "out of the game" so to speak with new devices, since I have been perfectly happy with my GNex (running ParanoidAndroid 4.4). I can definitely wait a bit longer, I was just seeing what others have been doing.

I know this forum seems dead but my GNex is pretty much run into the ground and 4.4 Rom's do not run the best. It is time for my GNex and I to part ways. I am on Verizon, what devices are you all replacing your GNex with or is there something in the pipeline I should wait for? Thanks!

Right, any application I have tried "says" it separates them because they are not updated for ICS. I used Simple Profile Widget in HC and it worked great, fails hard in ICS. My guess is a system level change needs to be made to separate the Ringtone from the Notification or find an application...

For those curious, I updated my TouchPad to 3.0.5 flawlessly OTA. Here is what I am running: *Moboot 0.3.5 *XRON 2.9.1 *WebOS 3.0.4 Be patient update takes a while and it will boot directly into WebOS after the update completes.

You people actually use WebOS ;) Haven't touched the thing since CM7. Like the above poster mentioned, the lack of apps makes using it pointless.

It is the case if you installed the deodexed version because the odex files do not exist in the cache on initial boot. However your boot times will improve as you use the applications and they are added to the cache.

I had several issues with wifi but after installing the XRON ROM they went away. It may not work for everyone but it is worth a shot. The ROM is basically a customized version of CM7 for TouchPad that was already released. There are instructions in the above link on installation.

For those not following @dalingrin, here is an update from this morning. "Touchpad ICS status: Working: browser, market, wifi, audio, etc...Not working: video playback, a few odds and ends"

I have had pretty good luck with 3.5 then I installed the Xron custom rom and my issue seems to have gone away. Give it a shot! XDA Thread
