Jailbroken, data disabled, called AT&T told them she was on a different phone, changed APN settings, etc. I don't quite remember how I did it, but I got it working.

^^ Haha, she won't mind Android or iOS, or anything really as long as she knows how to get into the Phone app, and the Messaging app. I can't get any of those phones/devices since they all require data plans.

Yes, I know. I was confirming that. And I was saying that in a regular menu, you can choose to turn off ALL data instead of 4G/3G/2G. And I was saying that mine doesn't have the 4G/3G/2G option because I'm not running that custom ROM.

In that menu, you can choose to turn off all-data. Mine doesn't have a choice for 4G or 3G or 2G, but it does for internet-connectivity (Packet data).

As long as your SIM card is LTE (Which all Verizon phones with SIM cards are), and the Galaxy Nexus is also LTE, your SIM card will be fine. Everywhere that you get your phone from will give you a new SIM card for free if you ask, so it doesn't really matter. You can keep that old one, get a...

^^ Yupp. Shortly after finding out that the Tethering doesn't work, I rooted with Cognition. I've been using it since my Captivate, so yeah. Kudos to DesignGears.
