    App/Task/Button to change camera resolution?

I have two distinct uses for the stock camera on my Pixel XL. One is for work where I'm capturing error messages or pics of equipment and want the low resolution. The other is for pics of my family where I want the highest. It currently takes 5 taps and a couple of seconds to change, and worse...

Any way to change camera resolution with a button/shortcut/widget?

I use a Nexus 6P, Nougat, non-rooted. I use the built-in camera for 2 different use cases - pics of family/life/etc and pics of tech issues for work (error messages, screenshots, etc). The former I shoot at 12 MP, the latter I shoot at 0.9 MP. I currently go through the settings each time to...

Nexus 6P - Camera App Discussion

Re: Camera App Discussion Thank you so much, this is VERY helpful and very very good news. I'm delighted that future photos of my clients' AV setups will not need to be in 12 megapixel resolution. :-)

Nexus 6P - Camera App Discussion

Re: Camera App Discussion Can someone report on what resolution options are available in the default camera app? I'm aware I can reduce the size and I'm aware there's plenty of storage but I take thousands of purely record keeping pics each month (arriving and departing a client site, error...

New left-side message list in GMail. Make it stop please! :-)

Thanks SithLord0498! I must have run the Gmail update inadvertently as well. Based on your info, I went and downloaded the GMail app 4.0.5 from: Google Gmail 4.0.5 [Android 4.0+] - APKTOP and installed it over the newer 4.1.2 version. Now my GMail is useful again. I sincerely hope they change...

New left-side message list in GMail. Make it stop please! :-)

Same here, I'm using the GMail app and it only applies in landscape mode. I'm always reluctant to declare any feature so clearly critical that there's no possible way someone else could have a different preference :-) but wow, 1/3 of the screen real estate? That's just incredible to me...

New left-side message list in GMail. Make it stop please! :-)

Not sure when this arrived/changed but today for the first time when I open a message in GMail it's dedicating fully 1/3 of the screen real estate not to the message but to a list of messages I'm not reading. With all the normal caveats about UI changes and not freaking out :-) I have to say...

Tab spontaneously leaves web page and reverts back to prior app

Re: Tab spontaneously leaves web page and reverts back to prior a So this is interesting . . . The RAM looks to be at least half free. I loaded a cache cleaner and ran that, but the problem persisted. I rebooted, problem persisted. Then I noticed there were a lot of notifications in the system...

Tab spontaneously leaves web page and reverts back to prior app

Re: Tab spontaneously leaves web page and reverts back to prior a Thanks for the reply! No overheating problem, the device has consistently been cool to the touch. I don't use it for any graphics-intensive apps and only for a few minutes at a time. The system settings shows about 1.5 GB memory...

Tab spontaneously leaves web page and reverts back to prior app

Just got a Galaxy Tab 2 7" a few days ago. Replacing a Kindle Fire. Thus far I'm very pleased but for one oddity. About a dozen times over the week I've been using it, I've been on a web page for 5 ~ 30 seconds or so, and without touching any buttons or the screen (for example, while reading an...
