One UI 6 and Android 14 release schedule for over 30 devices

I'm with T-Mobile, and I guess it'll be whenever they want to push it through... UPDATE 2023Nov23: As of Thanksgiving Day, still nothing for the T-Mobile variant S22 Ultra. Last OTA update it got came through on October 9th.

Ouch. I'm also on version 8.9.36 for the AC Forums app, and storage permission doesn't work on my Galaxy S22 Ultra w/Android 13...so I guess it still won't work once Android 14 finally lands on it. Goin' from the website, though?? No problem, for the most part. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

News Samsung reveals when your Galaxy phone may receive One UI 6 (Android 14)

So they got a couple release dates wrong, nobody ever said that they're solid, definitive dates - now that would've been another matter entirely. Or were they so far off the rails with the dates they got wrong that they needed to make a revision or three?

    Bored with my Note9...

Huh. You have a Note9, and you're BORED!? Okaaay...I'm a Note8 user, and I haven't got bored with it. And an S10+ definitely ain't the solution due to how similar it is (just not having the S Pen) to the Note8 & Note9!! Either wait for the Note10, or get a device from a different OEM, like LG...

Why has it taken so long for S7 to get Oreo update? And still no update

Meanwhile, the SM-G930U languishes WAY behind. On the flip side, the carrier branded variants are just getting the April 1 security patch with Oreo...the G930U has had it since late April when the BRD1 update came along...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Wow. Can't believe it's been over a year since my OptiS died on me. I've had a couple things since: Samsung Galaxy Rush, which is crap and had like nearly no development for it. Kyocera Event, which is pure crap and died on me in only a few months. My wife's HTC Desire 510, which was pretty nice...

HTC Desire phones and Sam's Club Apps?

That's the most likely explanation, that the hardware requirements changed. Over time, it's entirely possible for apps to develop in a way that they essentially program their way right out of compatibility... whether you can still run it or not is irrelevant, once your device isn't supported...

Try CM Browser instead. It happens to be smaller a file size and a little faster than Dolphin. bigsupersquid, do you know if SD cards by Lexar are any good? Target doesn't seem to carry SanDisk anymore.

    [ROM] JB 4.1.2 SlimRom for LS670 3.1 Build3

Not likely. This is because thekraven had lost his Optimus S some time ago...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

In the words of Homer Simpson, "CRAAAAAAAAAP!!" About a week ago, my Optimus S hit the ol' wake lock blue screen. I thought "no biggie, battery pull." Except that didn't help at all!! It flashed the LG logo and shut off like the battery died...only to do it again...and again...and again. Tried...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Ugh. Installed the 10/25, PA Pico GApps, Sprint Fix...here's how it went on my Optimus S: 1. Like the 11/whatever one, system apps still cannot be eliminated through Titanium Backup; still gotta use Root Explorer, go to the folder, mount r/w, and play from there. 2. Also like the more recent one...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Hmm. Last night I rebooted into recovery just for the hell of it...and /cache was already mounted there. Bizarre. Yeaaaaaaaah, I think I'll get that 10/25 stuff and just start over from there, lmao!! Oh!! You kinda goofed on the link - it went to the download page for the 10/25 *checksum*, not...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Oh wow...okay, here's some more logcat to munch on, this from just a few minutes ago. Play Store keeps crashing on me (and this is after the device rebooted itself a couple times and I forced a reboot via battery pull earlier today), no idea why. I had some other logcat entries, but I decided to...

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Doesn't look like it...I don't see /cache at all when I try mount via terminal.

    [ROM+Kernel][CM-11.0][4.4.4][OS2SD/internal][f2fs]bigsuperROM-thunderc-4.4.4

Ugh. That command for gettin' the logcat via Terminal doesn't wanna work: soon as I press enter, all that happens is that another command input line shows up as if I didn't do anything. Also, video playback doesn't seem to work no matter what, the Gallery won't do it, neither will apps like MX...

Can I install CM11 on my Sprint s3 running KitKat already?

Not quite. Knox is a security suite. It's been around on most Samsung devices since 4.3 (with some devices even getting it when they got updated to 4.2!). So if you have an S3 that was updated through 4.2/4.3/4.4 or came right out the box with one of those, then it's in there. Knox isn't just an...
