I absolutely love the stock rooted ICS ROM!!! Very fast, no typing lag, camera works great, new browser and music player (and equalizer) are great too! No complaints at all here.

First just a couple questions... Do you have the US Wi-Fi Xoom? And were you running Honeycomb 3.2 when you rooted, or did you receive the OTA update to 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) before attempting to root?

Just got the rooted stock ICS installed and am lovin' it!!! No lag at all, and I even like the stock browser better than Dolphin now! Had no problems at all with the install, after coming from Tiamat Moray. Just do the wipe/reset and all will be fine.

I always press the Menu key first to check whether the dev has included an "Exit" or "Quit" function in the app. That would be the best way to terminate. However, if there are background processes running, as was mentioned by jerseyboy, you would need to kill them manually if they don't stop...

No way they can "force it". My hubby accidentally accepted it on his DX the other day, and because his phone is rooted and de-bloated, it reported FAILED. (yayyy!) lol I hear ya though, and feel the exact same way about it, and keep refusing the update too. :D

Try this: Go into Settings, Location & Security Settings, and look for Select Device Administrators. See if the app you are trying to uninstall is listed there. If so, uncheck it, then try uninstalling the app again.

My favorite out of all the ones I've tried too!!! Looks great, protects (suede-lined clips!), and easy port access. Plus the multi-angle stand works great! I just wish this company also made one for the Viewsonic gTablet that we got for the kids.
