    Anyone returning theirs?

This is definitely possible, the Apple Watch does it. It had a light sensor embedded beneath the display so it is able to avoid a visible sensor hole. So unless Apple holds crazy patents for that type of sensor, there's probably no reason other than cost that LG couldn't use the same idea.

    Anyone returning theirs?

Try turning "tilt to wake" off. I have the G Watch R, so same screen as the Urbane. I also had the 360 for a few days before returning it. With the GWR, since ambient mode actually keeps the screen on AND illuminated, I turned "tilt to wake" off. The screen is still easily visible unless I'm...

Anyone coming from a Asus Zenwatch

It DOES extend to the edges, but only in bright mode. The G Watch R and Urbane are AMOLED screens, which are susceptible to burn in. So both LG watches do an auto movement thing when the screen is "asleep." The face moves slightly around the circle, leaving tiny gaps at the side/top/bottom. You...

Anyone coming from a Asus Zenwatch

If you're looking for a watch face, I recommend Zodiac. It has a ton of customization options, including colors for dim mode (and yes, you can turn the zodiac symbols off). I've been using it on my G Watch R for several days now and battery has been great. I like it a lot. The picture is in dim...

    Is it worth it?

Mine arrives this week, probably Friday. So I'll have an opinion then. ☺

Watch Dead after 6 hours! New Owner....help!

I'm on day 3 with my Moto 360 and the battery is laughably bad. Day one was less than 8 hours. Day two less than 12. So far today, it's been off the charger for 3 hours and is already down to 75%. As a former Pebble wearer, I expected the 360 to have worse battery life, but I didn't expect it to...

Considering getting a Z3 compact, but...

My wife and I have both cracked our Z3cs. Mine slid off the couch into the floor: screen had one crack, and it stopped responding to touch. Hers was IN A CASE and fell less than 2 feet onto CARPET: shattered, stopped responding to touch. Yes, any phone can break. But I really believe that this...

Anyone else kind of upset that Sony is taking longer than everyone else with the Lollipop update?

It's COMPLETELY different. I tried messing with the settings on the Moto G and it became infuriating really fast. I do not want granular notification control, I want to simply know for sure that my phone will be silent. I have a Pebble that I use for notifications, so I just want the phone to be...

When will the LG G2 get Android Lollipop??

I more meant that it doesn't include any MUST HAVE features. Like when Jelly Bean launched, it came with Google Now and you couldn't get it without an OS update. That kind of thing. ART is great for the back end, but not must have; smart lock is cool, but tons of phones have that already, even...

When will the LG G2 get Android Lollipop??

They can take their time as far as I'm concerned. Lollipop doesn't bring any new features and actually removes several. After seeing it personally on a Nexis 5, Galaxy S5, and Moto G, I don't want it anymore. My wife's Moto G became unusably slow after the update. So no, LG can keep it.

Anyone else kind of upset that Sony is taking longer than everyone else with the Lollipop update?

Nope, don't want it. Coworker got it on his Nexus 5 and hated it. My wife's Moto G became unusably slow after the update. Not to mention all the changes and removed features (no silent mode, are you kidding me?) So no. Sony can take it's sweet time, I'm in no hurry and will probably hold off on...

    first drop bricks phone

I hardly ever drop phones either. I dropped one years ago...it was outside and it fell five feet onto concrete and smashed...wasn't even in a case. So that one makes sense, I deserved that one. I agree with you, though, phones are valuable and I always take care of mine. I dunno, man. This is...

    first drop bricks phone

Another one bites the dust. My wife dropped her Z3c from about two feet up onto CARPET. And it was in a CASE. Screen shattered and, of course, touchscreen unresponsive. There's no doubt in my mind, this is one of the most fragile phones out there. I urge the rest of you to please be careful...

Z3 is not for the Zea water and its proven.

My first Z3 Compact had the same problem, but with fresh water. Dunked it in less than a foot of water for only a minute or two and it died completely. Thankfully I was able to get it replaced and the new one has been in similar water situations without issue. I think it's simply a quality...

    first drop bricks phone

The issue isn't that they break. All phones crack if dropped from high enough. The issue is that the screen becomes 100% unusable with even one crack. Look around at all the broken iphones, galaxy phones, etc. that you see on a daily basis. People break and keep using their phones all the time...

    first drop bricks phone

Mine fell from the couch to the floor (less than 2 feet) and huge crack down the front. If it were just the crack, I could live with it, but as the original poster said, even one crack renders the screen totally useless. It completely stopped registering touches after that. Luckily I was able...

    system update...

There are a few cool things in this, but they're small. The Album app now has a new photo editor tool and it kinda rocks. Drawing, stamps, filters. Lots of new stuff. Another helpful thing is that the Xperia Updater app won't bother you about disabled apps anymore. Before, if you disabled...
