I can't turn my pop ads off

Re: I cant shut the pop up ads off my phone It wasn't Facebook. It was FLV Player. It had been fine for a year for me and then it suddenly started serving full screen pop-up ads.

I can't turn my pop ads off

The only thing I had installed recently was Google Files. I don't keep a lot of superfluous apps on here. I got rid of files, Amazon, didn't work. Something told me this morning to get rid of Facebook and the Messenger. We'll see if these random popups stop.

I can't turn my pop ads off

I have started seeing ads pop up over Google apps. Youtube, Gmail, Maps. I think Google is doing this to us.

    Battery death

My battery started going bonkers a couple of weeks ago, losing like half of the charge overnight. The Android O beta has fixed that, it seems.

Stuck notification: "Cast device not detected"

Nexus 6, on Nougat, not a FB beta tester. It has been happening for me, too. Force stop seems to be good enough for me to clear it.

    Anyone Cancel Project Fi?

I am generally ok with Fi but I am not really impressed with the coverage. I am in a Tampa suburb and LTE coverage is spotty. I live and work near major roads and yet I get way too much 3G signal or worse and I have had calls drop on me. This is especially frustrating when having to wait 20+...

    Anyone getting a Moto Z?

I don't see myself changing, but if I do, then maybe later this year for Black Friday - that will put me close to 18 months with the N6. I don't care about the fingerprint sensor and I have a Bose Color Bluetooth speaker that will sound much richer so the speaker module does nothing for me at...

    Anyone getting a Moto Z?

To answer the original question of this thread: I'm not sure. I got a Nexus 6 last year and it's still a decent phone. I may wait a year before changing phones, this one is good enough.

Moto X (1st gen): Lollipop Update News

Re: Moto X (1st gen): Lollipop News On my Nexus 7 it's fine. I'm just curious about how it will work on this X. I'm a little tired of waiting. I am afraid that it's going to go the way of the old droids and not get updated at all. I have a droid that is forever sitting on jelly bean. Posted...

The Verizon Droids also got the X's enhancements that they could - although the always-listening Touchless Control wasn't possible until the soon to debut Droid Turbo. Posted via Android Central App

Did Moto kill the X because of the Turbo?

A slight correction. Some Droids were made by HTC but Motorola eventually got the exclusive deal. The first Droid, the one that got Android on the radar of consumers, was by Motorola, though! But I agree with your overall assessment. Given the choice, I'd prefer the more elegant and...

    Moto X power saving mode

In the battery setting there is the battery saver, but it is only for low battery level. I use AutomateIt to regulate things that will help my battery life on my OG X. I shut off mobile data when connected to wifi to shut off the radio, I use the rules to regulate the screen brightness when I'm...

Moto X - How well do you think it's selling?

I think that's true of both Apple and Samsung. Notice the pattern: reps know nothing about any other flagships than those two. Maybe HTC... The lack of training is a problem that comes from the top. And the lack of marketing materials for this phone is a problem that is partly Motorola's...

Droid Turbo will have same size 5.2" screen as Moto X 2014 with MUCH better specs...

I was speaking about the price of the X. It is not $600 unless you get a premium back and 32 GB storage. But comparing apples to apples, the base model is nowhere near $600. "I don't know where you get your prices from." Posted via Android Central App
