I know - I saw the post...and that's one of the reasons I posted what I did. It seems like people are confusing tethering with WiFi hotspot...and it seemed like you were combining the two together in your post when you said "As for the hotspot/tether question, it is my understanding that as...
^ I read somewhere ATT hopes to complete the process within 12 months. Is there a thread out there that has info on what happens to our plans or contracts? Are we contract free after the change? Do we keep existing plans and rates until the switch minus maybe our free tethering and stuff like...
It seems like some may be confusing tethering with the hotspot feature.
My understanding is tethering is free, as long as you don't abuse it.
WiFi hotspot costs extra. I haven't tried using it, so maybe the same rules as above apply.
Well... I uninstalled recent updates for the Google Search app, then the app appeared when I tried looking under "shortcuts" again. After doing this, I reinstalled the update...and the Google Search app was still under shortcuts. After I rebooted the phone however, the Google Search app was no...

In the above photo - I accidentally deleted my Google search shortcut. I've spent over 30 minutes trying to remember where I added this shortcut from, and have failed. It's not in the app drawer....it's not in shortcuts...and it's not a widget - I kinda...
Handcent didn't have the most crisp graphics when I tried it. Chomp had better graphics, but ads in free version were annoying.
I settled on Go SMS. Good graphics, simple clean themes. Dev updates often. Nothing to complain about.
Whatever the special ATT Uverse 2wire modem is. Signal was about 150 feet away, through the tv, walls, and I was also on my second floor (modem on first). I've never once lost a wireless connection with this modem though, so it may just be well made.
Mine does not delete from the server. I was wondering if there were settings that would enable it to sync 2 ways or not - but I prefer it the way it is default for me so I didn't look into it.
I'm new to ActiveSync because my company just began allowing personal smartphone sync last week. Wasn't allowed previously for "security" reasons...and of course now that I am able to sync, they have implemented additional security restrictions on my phone. I'm posting this in the MT4G forums...
While it's true the next best thing is always a month or so away... I'm really impressed with how the MT4G has held up so far. 3 months later, the MT4G is still competitive with recent releases. For those of us that jumped on this phone right away - I think we made a great decision.
Having...
Agreed - though I'm not sure what apps it doesn't close out of entirely... because I've tested this after noticing the warning of losing unsaved data when a "restart" is performed. I started editing a sheet in office....and turned off/on via fastboot - and all my unsaved data was erased.
Sorry - didn't realize this was a free app -- thought you were asking if anyone had tried it before you purchased it since I didn't think you'd ask otherwise for opinions.
Just downloaded/played with the TI-86 for 5 minutes....not much to say - it's a TI-86 on your phone. Now if only he'd...
Anyone else just discovering T-Mobile apparently mails out myTouch magazines to all myTouch owners? Well..here's some advice: if you get anything in your mail that says "myTouch - The Insider's Guide"........just throw it out... unless you're a girl and are some David Henrie (apparently a...
Sounds like a decent tool for an engineer on the run...but then again, you'd likely have a real calculator with you if you actually needed one (doesn't everyone use computer programs for calculations these days anyway?)...so it might only be good to help someone out a few times if they urgently...
