New desk dock that utilize charging pins!!

It seems to me that those pins would hold a stable contact only if there is something pressing the phone against them, like a snap bracket on the top. Otherwise, it seems they might loose contact often.

It's by contact. Wouldn't the weight of the phone just keep contact? My Logitech Harmony charges by contacts and the remote just sets on top.

LOL cute :). Yeah, I had a charging dock for my Blackberry 9700. I just rested the phone in the dock & it stayed connected to the charging contacts. As long as it's a loose fit, gravity should be enough. However, that also means that the dock needs to be on a totally flat surface.

Checked the website today... says the dock officially starts shipping March 25th for $29.95 with free shipping. If it works with the pins, is anyone going to get this?
