Yep, you ALWAYS see the threads about how this or that has been changed, but I'm sure there are many more people (like you and I) where the update went fine. All devices working normally here.

Make sure you take a look at your power saving settings. If on, it should be reducing your brightness output on full white screens to save battery. Mine comes out looking a little 'blue' from the greatly decreased brightness, and I just bought my S3 this week.

Does the rom you loaded have App2SD? If so, you will have to create an EXT Linux partition for it to work correctly. What you are seeing would be an indication that you need an EXT partition.

I've noticed that as well. Seems to me that development, comments, and general mayhem has drastically slowed on Evo's JB development this entire month. I'm wondering if devs just aren't focusing on the smaller details of jb (camera, etc) when the details of ICS are still being worked on...

With all the custom roms out there for the OG Evo, why would you even want to buy a new phone? The Evo pioneered the large screen, it has enough processing and memory to do a little more than what the stock rom does. If you aren't rooted, I would HIGHLY recommend taking a look at all the CM7...

I can't believe I can't find this info somewhere, but before I go THINKING I know something... When I make a ClockWorkMod backup, there's a recovery.img file inside the backup. Is this the actual ClockWorkMod program image inside of the backup? (meaning, if I want to try fastboot flashing...

Also FYI, Google Maps now supposedly supports offline maps, so you may be able to cache the maps over wifi, and GPS will still work out in the wild without online data. (haven't tried this myself yet)

Hmmm, pretty sure that the vibrate motor is down at the bottom. If you take off the back, there's a little rubber rectangular square at the bottom that covers the vibration motor and/or spindle. You will have to remove the 6 screws and separate the entire backplate if you want to see it though.
