Has anyone had any luck getting rid of the review notification received AFTER you use Samsung Pay? I like the one telling me I just used Samsung Pay for xxxx store for $yyyy, but recently, a few minutes later, I get the 'How was your last purchase? Please provide a short feedback to help us...

I'm Very Happy with JB Update

Yep, you ALWAYS see the threads about how this or that has been changed, but I'm sure there are many more people (like you and I) where the update went fine. All devices working normally here.

I'm so blue over my new S3

Make sure you take a look at your power saving settings. If on, it should be reducing your brightness output on full white screens to save battery. Mine comes out looking a little 'blue' from the greatly decreased brightness, and I just bought my S3 this week.

Japanese firm Softbank in 'advanced' talks to buy Sprint

I've always thought that Sprint would make a good takeover target for someone with some cash who wanted instant market.

    Help!

The Evo's camera module (where the lens is) can come ajar from the mainboard at times. I'm sure you have already tried it, but press firmly where the lens is on the back of the phone in order to make sure it is seated properly. Alternatively, you can take the phone's frame off and completely...

Original htc evo 4g stuck in bootloop after custom Rom flash

Does the rom you loaded have App2SD? If so, you will have to create an EXT Linux partition for it to work correctly. What you are seeing would be an indication that you need an EXT partition.

    Jelly Bean Roms

I've noticed that as well. Seems to me that development, comments, and general mayhem has drastically slowed on Evo's JB development this entire month. I'm wondering if devs just aren't focusing on the smaller details of jb (camera, etc) when the details of ICS are still being worked on...

Anyone care to share their source for a good digitizer? I bought one from an Amazon seller, and mine has the same 1/2" or so dead area at the bottom.

Sprint users I need your advice?

With all the custom roms out there for the OG Evo, why would you even want to buy a new phone? The Evo pioneered the large screen, it has enough processing and memory to do a little more than what the stock rom does. If you aren't rooted, I would HIGHLY recommend taking a look at all the CM7...

    Cyanogenmod 10

That is a downside, TWRP recovery is not directly compatible with CWM (I can't speak for RA, but a quick google search tells me 'no'). I don't believe you will be able to restore old backups without reflashing the old recovery image as well. (someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong). RA is...

    Cyanogenmod 10

I've noticed this too. Seems like a LOT of the JB threads have gone near-silent lately. Not really sure why. I enjoyed JMZ's JB rom too, I still go back to it every now and then, but I really missed my camera when I wanted it. On top of that, I really liked learning the TWRP recovery...

    Recovery - CWM & TWRP 2.2.1

Thanks. I've read about some of the issues with CWM, but I've always used it and, knock on wood, always had good results. I flashed TWRP 2.2.1, and it's pretty awesome.

    Recovery - CWM & TWRP 2.2.1

I can't believe I can't find this info somewhere, but before I go THINKING I know something... When I make a ClockWorkMod backup, there's a recovery.img file inside the backup. Is this the actual ClockWorkMod program image inside of the backup? (meaning, if I want to try fastboot flashing...

    Simple rom for evo?

Also FYI, Google Maps now supposedly supports offline maps, so you may be able to cache the maps over wifi, and GPS will still work out in the wild without online data. (haven't tried this myself yet)

    Cyanogenmod 10

I've linked to it, but haven't tried it yet, life has been calling lately. FYI, There's also S-Voice and Google Now development going on for the Evo that is making great headway. Why would I ever want to buy a new phone? I think the Evo will run forever. lol

Evo 4G camera problem, blank or black screen at the start

Hmmm, pretty sure that the vibrate motor is down at the bottom. If you take off the back, there's a little rubber rectangular square at the bottom that covers the vibration motor and/or spindle. You will have to remove the 6 screws and separate the entire backplate if you want to see it though.
