Shield K1 - Android 7.0 Google Now Search Issue

Hi. Updated my Shield K1 tablet to Android 7.0 late last week and all appeared to be OK until today. I am using the Google Now launcher on the K1 to be consistent with all my other Android devices. I tried to perform a Google search from the home screen and got a blank screen. I can type in the search terms, but there are no search results displayed. I can launch the search via voice using "OK Google" or the mic icon, but no search results are displayed. It is weird that search result information is presented via the audio output confirming a search was performed. Has anyone else experienced this problem? BTW, when I use Google search using Chrome, all search results are displayed. TIA

Have you already tried going to Settings>Apps, selecting the Google app, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data?

Thanks for response. There was a Google app update a few days after my post and the issued resolved itself.
