I have a ZTE Nubia Z5S NX503A running a custom ROM and a CWM recovery. I recently updated the ROM to a newer version (flashed .zip with recovery), and now it won't go further than the boot animation. I have tried waiting, but nothing happens until the battery runs out.
I was sure to make a backup of the previous version, but I can't access the recovery to restore it because the volume buttons are defect. I have tried "adb reboot recovery", but it can't detect my phone while it's booting or powered off.
Is there any other way to enter the recovery, restore the backup, flash a new ROM, or somehow emulate the volume keys?
