Hi all i have a Galaxy S8. My phone network has an annoying problem with 3G. In built up areas their towers transmit 2100/900 mhz and outside of towns their towers only transmit 900mhz. The network is set so that my phone will prefer 2100mhz no matter what over 900mhz. An example, today i was a few miles outside town. I had great signal from a nearby 900mhz tower but my phone decides to tune into a 2100mhz tower from the town with a weak signal so any data i was downloading slowed down..
I can drive by 900mhz towers and only have one bar signal from a 2100mhz tower miles away...
My question is . Is there a hack that can make my phone select the strongest signal rather than preferring a signal? I know i could disable 2100mhz in the service menu but would prefer not to.
