Using Sony Xperia Z3V outside of the USA - Hotspot issue.

Hello, I'm from the Dominican Republic and live here as well, I bought the Xperia Z3V from someone who bought it in USA but never used it. The phone works great with my local carrier (CLARO, that used to be owned by Verizon like 8-10 years ago), even 4G LTE, but when I want to use it as a hotspot, it says I need to activate the service going to My Verizon, which I obviouslly cant do. Is there a solution for that, not being on Verizon network? Do you happen to know if there is a way to make it work like a totally unlocked phone? I mean, I cant say is locked, I am using all the funtions and features in the DR, except for this one. English is not my native language, if it is not clear enough, please ask me everything. Thanks ahead for the help.
