Odd volume bug....

I have a odd bug in my E4GT with the volume. For some reason the notification volume will automatically mute itself at times. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions on how to fix?

Can you check if the sounds are being played through your phone speaker rather than the system speaker? This happened to me and so far a hard reset has fixed that glitch. Kept happening when I use voice command.

Would would I know if sounds are via phone vs system speaker (and I didn't know there was a difference).

The setting is in the Dock mode at the bottom of the settings screen.

There is just one option, send audio to external speakers.

Of course, it assumes you have something plugged into the external speaker port or in the car dock.
