Just seen this for the first time today... When I hit the menu key, I get a red frame around the boarders of my screen during any subsequent screen taps. Is anyone else having this red frame upon screen taps. Lost my PC connection as of today as well (USB issue in another post). I don't see any haptic settings that could account for red border.

I unchecked everything in Developer options, but red border still persist. Google search suggested same thing. Guess I'll reset phone if issue persists more than a few days.

I think I saw this on one of qbking77's YouTube videos of an ICS leak. It was an earlier build than FF18. Odd you are still seeing it. I assume you are on FF18. Unfortunately then only thing I can think of is to do a factory reset.

Battery pull seem to correct issue for now. Maybe a non market app caused the issue. Will reset if issue comes back. Thanks for everyone's input.

Did you change something in the developers options? There is an item in the checklist under developers options that does that.

sorry I'm just checking posts for my old phone. Hoping your red border has resolved itself by now. I tried all the suggestions posted, including uninstalling third party apps, but the only thing that worked for me was a "battery pull" for a little while. Problem never came back. I still keep phone for kids to use so they don't bug me for mine. I loved this phone and would not trade it in even when I upgraded on a different carrier.

Google is your best friend: after reading this thread and almost dismantling the battery on my MX4, I just searched a bit more and found a guide online a droidviews DOT com (new member - won't let me post links - how lame!). Go to that site and search for red border android fix.

REALLY SIMPLE fix that involves just turning off Strict Mode in the developer options. PROBLEM SOLVED!
