Why couldnt I use the Photon on Walmarts plan?

Not the straight talk plan but the Walmart family mobile plan thats 40 a month with unlimited everything..they sell the sim cards on the shelf for any unlocked phone..can i unlock the Photon?Photons per second

Wow, that is a good question. Do other Android phones work with this Wal-Mart plan? Would it work with an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II?

Yes walmart family mobile uses the android market. They are powered by t mobile which is owned by at&t. All the smartphones they sale at walmart to use on the plan are android phones

At&t does not own tmobile, it depends on what bands the phone in quesiton supports whether or not it can run on a certain network. If the photon supports GSM bands that att uses and the photon is unlocked then yes in theory it will work.

Per Motorola, from a meeting. The Photon is designed not to work with ANY domestic carrier. I am not sure if they meant to include prepaid.
