app memory

I was looking at my memory it says I have around 400MB of app memory left.is the normal amount around 500? Or is it 1GB?

Yea I thinking we got 556 of memory....I was hoping to see a gig of app memory but w/e its all good if anything ill throw some apps on the sd card lol 400mb is still alot of space.my storm 1 know had 128 and after installing apps I had like 22mb left that was sad.....

Are you guys talking about app memory for storage or ram for running applications? I have 1.5 gb of available app storage.

I think I was talking about the ram for running applications. On my old Bold 9000, I had to constantly monitor whatever was running/open as to not run out of precious memory and have the phone yell at me.

i am sorry guys but i am kind of a noob in android, where do you see this info? under "SD Card & phone storage"? I have there:
Application Storage - 1.56GB
Internal Storage - 10.71 GB (Available space 5.74GB)
And then the SD card......
where do you see "400 mb" ?

I recommend downloading Elixir on the android market.. it's a free monitoring utility that gives you info on battery, memory, processing, apps and many other things.

Go to "System"

"Applications"

"Running Services"

You should see a colored bar at the bottom with the details.

I think the 1gb is only ram and not app storage.the app storage I think is 556mb right?and any space on the sd card can be used to place apps in there too.

It's got 1 gig of actual ram to run processes and 2 gigs of app storage, some of which is occupied by bloatware.

I get this thing saying 1.50 GB left of app storage?
Now I'm kind of confused here***
