I have a Note 2 and my wife has the GS2. I still haven't been able to figure out how to share photos, playlists, etc via the tap to share function with the NFC. The commercials make it look so easy. Is it possible that ATT has this functionality turned off or am I just doing it wrong? Anyone else have an issue with this?

Make sure both your wife and you have s beam, nfc(both can be found in more settings) and your mobile data on. Then just touch the phones back to back and touch the display to send what you want!

To beam you have to touch backs and then press play on the file. I have found wifi direct was WAY better and you can send more than 1 file at a time. I sent a 28 song folder to a friend in about 10 seconds and a 1gb movie in just under a minute.

I though only the gs3 and note 2 had s beam. All others have android beam. Android beam is not as useful. I can tell you from first hand experience its definitely not as easy as the commercial makes it out to be.
