Screen lock and keyboard...

I'm trying to change my screen lock from a PIN to nothing. When I use the PIN, all non-secured options have been greyed out. What have I done? Also, since the 4.1 upgrade, I cannot set my Swiftkey keyboard to the default. I have to change it every time I re-start or power off. Obviously I've done something wrong here too. Thanks in advance for your help.

No idea about the first thing. The SwiftKey bug is just something we'll have to live with. I have it too
