What's the range of an LTE tower in miles?

I'm about to drive around and explore my new found lte.

I'm curious if they just upgraded 1 tower or a whole bunch

All depends.. Biggest thing is location and how tall the tower is.. It can range from just a mile to 15 to 20..were im at its about 6 to 8 miles.. Biggest thing is there any abstructions..

They might just have one tower online now but they will probably upgrade more in the area soon.

Usually also depends on the power of the transponder itself as to how far the signal can travel unobstructed.

It depends.. You'll never find just one type of network tech on a single tower.. Also different pods are for different things like voice and data are different. Some towers even have up to 4 different companies on it. So it really really depends on the height of the tower and if there are any obstructions around it.. Usually tall towers have longer range but penetrate buildings less and shorter ones have more penetration but shorter ranges
