After many days of frustration on trying to get ICS on my Nexus S (i9020a) I found and followed these instructions.

It worked perfectly.

There is no virus. If you look at the URL for the files your downloading they are coming from Google directly

I have been looking EVERYWHERE for this! I spoke with Samsung, AT&T, Best Buy and Google. None of them said it could be done. They were too busy pointing the finger at each other. The update seems to have worked. I'll reply with any glitches that I come across. Thanks for the help!

Only way to do is install Cyanogen Mod 9 which is Android 4.0

here are the instructions

Take backup. it will wipe the data

Don't upgrade above 2.3.6! It's the most stable so far. 4 and above eats memmory and cpu power. Stay put at 2.3.6 or get a new phone....

Using DROID Bionic, it fails to install due to unrecognized file verification... thoughts?

I am very frustrated with this phone's inability to cooperate. Every other bionic user I know got the update automatically.
