Swype Beta

My friend wants to install the new Swype beta keyboard onto his Infuse. However the Swype website states "If your phone came pre-installed with Swype DO NOT download this beta (it won't work)". Is this true? Has anyone tried the new Swype beta on the Infuse?

You need to delete the preinstalled Swype and download the installer.

You must first uninstall the Swype that came installed on the phone. You do need to be rooted to do that, since you need to use something like Titanium Backup to do it.
