Does anyone have any experience with:
1) Replacing the backlight in your Android TV ?

2) Resolving intermittent flickering of Picture.

Just by Dumb Luck, my 55H9G Hisense Blew out Backlight.
My 1st step in troubleshooting Hisense #1. Purchased April 2021.
And
the 65U8G (2nd Hisense) has a lovely
Flickering Picture.
Purchase - Dec. 2021.
Also hear high pitch squealing coming from area near s/n details. (Senses like a Wolf, most would not hear).
Followed some steps to alleviate "Flicker", but comes back.
F.U.N. 2 TVs in one day.
Too bad I cannot use Emojis !

Cannot see the inset Reset on 65", but may have one on the 55".
Of course I did not purchase extended Warranty. When I do, Nothing Happens. The Samsung (2016) is Fine!

Thank you in advance for ANY Ideas or suggestions.
Lightening DOES Strike twice.
(^~^)

Trying to replace the backlight in a TV as a fool's errand. I would highly recommend against even trying, all you will be doing as wasting your time and money.

I have a hisense TV and my bedroom, this does not fill me with confidence lol

I noticed Hisense has extended warranties offered on their website. Maybe check in to that and see if it's a possible route. Just look fine print that requires an inspection or limitation on when to file the first claim, or other gotchas that could prevent you from using it.

Fyi, that 65u8g is a fantastic tv. I've owned mine about 2 years now, but thankfully still going strong.

Thank you everyone...
Yeas, the 8 was a good Choice! Upgraded when I saw how poor image was for 300$ less.
Go for Best you can.
You are STUCK WITH IT.
Seems like yesterday we installed these on our walls.

Anyone have thoughts on this 65" TV with flickering picture? Do you think it's about to lose the picture totally - blow one of the essential components, probably backlight being 1st?

I'm unable to toss out 1700- 2000$ TV value...
I'd rather give a shot on 150$ or so on parts/ service.

"Chatted" with Hisense. Zero help. Out of ("manufactures")Warranty. Wanted nothing to do with me.

"Word to the Wise"... Buy extended warranty if in regions prone to Thunderstorms. Quite the Fluke.

Aren't u all more adventurous to Fixing your Tech?
Like, built Robots in your Garage before you got to MIT !?!?

I appreciate you &
Thank you all So Much again.

Being adventurous has nothing to do with it. It is often a lot easier to build a robot in your garage than it is to replace the backlight on an LED TV lol. If you want to try and do it go ahead, no one is stopping you. This isn't a TV repair forum though, so expecting much help from us was a little unrealistic on the face of it.

The one with the flickering screen is most likely a failing backlight or maybe a dodgy power supply.. but again, not a TV repair forum so that's just me guessing based on experience.
