So I charged my phone to 100% by around 11PM last night. I wake up at 5:45AM today and it's at 65%. What?! A always put my phone into extreme battery saver when I go to sleep, which usually keeps the hourly idle battery drain to around 1 to 1.5% or hour. Anyone know what's up with this? I'm on the beta program, and haven't done anything or updated recently.

Honestly, it's the 5G modem that's causing the draining if you haven't turned that off yet and don't care about 5G, use LTE you'll see a huge difference. I think part of the problem is the phone keeps searching for 5G and if your phone is nowhere near a 5G tower it'll constantly search.

I have seen Mobile Network Chee thru battery on many different phones before. Lots of articles online about what can cause it. For me, a restart usually seems to help settle things down and the phone goes back to normal.

That should be a daily practice before you go to bed.

Agreed. Too bad the Pixel doesn't have that option. My Note 10 has that, along with charging limits, which are both so convenient.

I think the percent shown in battery usage is skewed somehow. At 89 to 93 signal and 5G turned off my phone still shows 46 to 53% usage in Android stats. That is off WIFI and running cell on VZ. I thought this was an issue but I was overthinking it and the phone does last me through my work day with 5+ hours of phone calls over BT and about 2 1/2 hours SOT with about 40% left in the tank.

Yeah, the percentage signifies the percentage of the total amount used per hour, and not the total amount of the battery power as a whole...but the amount of drain as a whole per hour was just really surprising. It was like 10% an hour while idle, and that was with extreme battery saver! I reset it and will probably do so before setting it on extreme battery saver every night before bed. I don't expect it to be an issue anymore.
