I've noticed that this is a common type of problem but after some extensive Googling and reading, I can't quite find a solution to my specific issue.

My phone is absolutely not recognized by my computer. (Win7 HomePremium x64 SPk.1) Neither is it recognized by HTC Sync. There's no USB-connected/disconnected sound. It doesn't show up in Device Manager. I've tried all of my ports, I've used a few different cables, I've installed/uninstalled/re-installed HTC Sync, installed drivers, moved drivers from the Sync folder to Sys32 and then restarted the PC, restarted the PC several other times, ended adb.exe in Task Manager (I think that's what it was called. If not, it was close to this.) took the battery out of the phone and rebooted a few times, used USB connectivity Sync Mode, Disk Mode, Debugging off/on, and I'm about at wit's end with this.

Any help would be humbly appreciated and if there's any omitted information, I'd be glad to procure it for you.

Phone:
  • Hardware Version 4
  • Android 2.3.3
  • Not rooted, stock, and up to date.

Thank you.
