Android 10 (q) Update Schedule for Sony Phones

Sony has posted on its website their projected schedule for updates to Android 10 (q).

Bolding emphasis is mine relating to this XZ2 & XZ2c forum.

Owners of Sony’s premium flagship Xperia 1 and recently announced Xperia 5 will be among the first to receive the new tech, which will be available this December.

Owners of Xperia 10, 10 Plus, XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ2 Premium and XZ3 devices can expect to access the upgrade early 2020 onwards*.

*Software rollouts are a phased process – timing and availability will vary by market and/or operator. Most models supported but some operator/market exceptions will apply.

It appears that Android 10 (q) is now rolling out via update 52.1.A.0.532 for the following Sony phones:
(as per Xperiacheck.com … check your Sony model, then your country/carrier for rollout status)

It's worth noting that some users over at XDA and Sony forums (and elsewhere) are reporting A10q bugs after update. Might want to think/hit the brakes before taking the plunge. Note: I have not as of yet received the update offer.

Among the possible issues mentioned....
Fingerprint scanner unlock delay from 'off'. Apparently faster with screen already on
Possible battery drain, Battery Stats, Ultra Stamina issues?
Possible Alarm(snooze) issue???
Microphone low volume(sensitivity)/sound-speaker issues
Lagging/sluggish (Apps/transitions)

3-12-2020 update
USA Sony H8314 XZ2c model
Auto updated to 52.1.A.0.618 (Android 10) yesterday evening.

Altho very leery about potential outcome...So far all is good.
Battery life over night loss was 20% for 8 hours, about usual.
Transitions and Apps are very snappy....actually seem faster than in Android 9
Fingerprint open from standby (no power button press) seems the same and perfectly acceptable.
Speaker sound is fine
Bluetooth connects fine
Camera working fine
GPS is fine

So far no issues to speak of. Am checking out new Android 10 settings and looking for bugs. But so far...no problems. If I find something I'll edit in a comment.
