Android 11 help please.

I have just purchased an oppo a96 phone and there is something driving me mad and would appreciate any help.
Whenever I am out and about I get loads of notifications and sounds alerting me that a WiFi network has been detected. This happens as I walk past most houses. I have tried everything to turn this off but cannot seem to find the correct setting

I have found this option and it is clearly switched off. Is there anything else I could try please.

I made you the owner of the original guest post to make it easier for you to find.

When you see that notification, long-press it -- does it say what app is giving the notification? Just want to make sure it's the system, and not some 3rd party app.

You should also see an option for more settings after you long-press the notification -- tap it and see if there's an option to turn off that type of notification (or at least make it silent).

Thanks so much for your help in this.
I have done as you said and after a long press it says it is a system notification. I took three screen shots.
There were two options that were turned on which I have turned off. Hopefully it was these causing the issue. I will go for a walk to check.

Many thanks. The problem is now resolved since switching off network alerts. The only way I was able to access the menu in the photo was by long pressing the notification. Now that I am not receiving those notifications how would I ever be able to get back into the menu if I need to make changes ??

Go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, select Android System>Notifications, and find the toggle there.
