How can I get my Motorola edge plus 2023??

I've always used Spoken Caller Pro for Android they worked with texts and calls. no longer supported

It works fine, EXCEPT when do not disturb is activated. IV engaged ignore do not disturb, but...

Is there a currently offered app that will announce who is sending texts to me, or is there a setting within the phone or Android 14, that I'm missing?

The easiest way would be to enable Spoken Caller Pro to interrupt DND, within your phone's settings. Here's the appropriate section in my Motorola Razr+ 2023:


Alternatively, you could try an automation app like MacroDroid to momentarily disable DND when you receive an incoming text or call, and then re-enable it 5 seconds or so later.
