How do you find apps outside the market and how do you download?

you can find them pretty much anywhere on the net, im not one to support pirating apps and im sure the AC does not support that either so i wont give any suggestions on a particular site.... but ways to get them onto your phone would be same as putting music on your phone, you can just drag them onto your phone when it is in storage mode, or you can download them directly from your phones browser, you can email them to yourself, if you ahve a card reader you can move them directly to your card,,,,,then use the phones file manager, or astro manager from the market to explore and open them.

you will need to enable unknown sources on your phone
settings>applications>unknown sources

Be aware though, that Market screens apps to a certain degree and thus is a protection for your X. Not all apps are friendly, either to you or to your X. Frequently, they will conflict with each other or the X's operating system.

If you use AppBrain on your computer, you will be able to access Market and see the listings for each app exactly the same as on the X, except it's sometimes more convenient.

Also, check out the note below my sig.
