This tablet has been slow since the last update.
One drastic difference is that apps seem to kind of restart every time I switch between them.

Examples:
Facebook. Switching back to it shows white screen with Meta logo for a while and then sort of resuming but mostly at start of feed. Not where it was left off.

Chrome. When switching to it, I see every open tab at the top refreshing/loading.

Google search, switching to it, the results are gone and I have to start again.

It also takes many seconds for the keypad to appear after switching.

The slowness and this behaviour all started after this said update.

It is now running
Android 11
One UI ver. 3.1

Memory use is 1.7G out of 2G 85%
Most of that is the OS.

Is there hope?

I enabled developer mode but nothing sticks out there.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Regards
B

Are you using any kind of "RAM manager" apps, or are there any built-in settings or features for that?

Some manufacturers (including Samsung) are notorious for aggressively killing apps in the background in order to save battery. It might be related to that as well. https://dontkillmyapp.com/
