My htc one x9 had really bad battery performance so replaced the battery with a new one. The battery backup was terrible even after replacement. The battery history in settings showed wifi was consuming battery. But wifi, wifi scanning and nearby wifi notification all were turned off. Wifi tends to turn on when using certain apps, mostly vpn. Once its on only way to turn it off is by rebooting. Only battery history shows if its turned on, first i thought it was a bug but the battery usage is high when this happens.
I tried almost all solutions.
-wiped all data using recovery
- wiped cache partition
Now by using accubattery app the battery backup has increased but the wifi issue still exists.
Friends advised me to flash the rom but i dont know were to get compatible rom for my phone.
