I'm trying to set up my new G63 smartphone. In order to do that it says I have to have my old phone. Well, actually, it wants me to sign into Google to do that. I tried. Google wants to verify it's me by sending text or something to my old phone. I don't have an old phone. It was stolen. Does anyone have any thoughts about how to do this?

For obvious security reasons, if your account was protected by 2-Factor Authorization, the only way to get access to your account is either via the 2FA devices active in your account or by using temporary backup verification codes generated. If you have no access to either of this, the only way to get access is to initiate an account recovery process with Google.

Welcome to Android Central! When you see the screen saying that it needs authentication, do you see anything in small print along the lines of "Try another way"?
