Chrome closed all open tabs after sync and they are gone

[Android Central Question]

I need help. I had hundreds of tabs open on my phone. Recently a message on my work computer popped up and asked if I wanted to sync, so I did. 2 days later, I notice the sync closed the hundreds of tabs that I had open. I've tried everything. They do not show up in recently closed tabs. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? Are you sure it was the sync? It's also possible the system may have done this for some reason. Keep in mind that the more tabs you have open, the more RAM the browser uses. At some point, the system might have had to close things out to save RAM.
