Chrome down arrow unresponsive

For the past several days, when I click on the down arrow under "People also ask," Chrome is unresponsive. Anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?

My android in general has been slow and I did factory reset but it's still slowing in other apps. Can it be a virus even after factory reset?

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before. I searched and couldnt find a solution to Chrome issue.

ETA- I have a Samsung ZFlip3

It would be very very unlikely for this to be a virus. Glitches are much more common.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah. No, no other problems except the slowed operation which makes no sense because I gave it a factory reset.

We have a Ring peephole and a couple of days ago a neighbor sat on steps by our apartment wearing a hoodie and gloves (it's South Carolina) and placed two black devices on stairs. After that, the filming on our Ring stopped. Also wondering it they broke into our internet which, I know this isn't the forum but wondering if it's causing the lagging.

Yes and I still cannot see the dropdown. Also, in regular and safe mode, I now notice that frequently images aren't showing in Chrome as well.

Try resetting chrome by clearing its data then force stop it

I enabled notifications for Chrome and that seems to have fixed it. I then also deleted cache and forced stop.
