data usage -> WiFi

Hey everyone!

Well, After 10+ years of having a "pay-as-you-go account with no data plan, I have finally upgraded to an unlimited talk / text plan with limited free data. As a newbie to this I am wondering - if I use the web / apps that require going online, does it automatically use the WiFi if I am in a location that has WiFi or do I have to tell my phone to use Wifi always, unless there is none? (Which is what I prefer)

If there is wifi available (usable) and your phone's is enabled then everything that's requires Internet will use available wifi.
