Question Deleted Bookmarks in Chrome

hi,

I accidently deleted all of my bookmarks in Chrome. In the file manager of the phone there is a folder named ''BookmarkSB'' with two html files in it but they are empty and seem to have been overwritten. Is there a way i can export all the data from Chrome including its memory files? or the only option is to root the phone? rooting has been very difficult since the phone is carrier locked and has extra layer of security.

Welcome to Android Central! It's probably too late, but in the Chrome settings, turn off Sync, then open Chrome on your computer and check the Bookmarks there. Are they still intact on the computer?

Rooting would be pointless at this time because it would require you to wipe your phone , if you were already rooted slim chance could be recovered.

Try logging out your account in chrome then back in with sync on also slight chance they might come back but worth a try.
