hello I have a samsung galaxy note II (model: SGH-I317M version: 4.4.2, I live in ontario, canada with koodo as my service provider). I'm using windows 10 x64.
on the lower right corner of my laptop where the current date and time is shown, I
click on "change date and time settings..." --> "change time zone" (under 'Date and Time' tab) --> "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time"
I have downloaded google's camera app and I have Samsung's default camera app installed on my note II. In a test run, the filenames are different for Samsung's camera app and google's camera app.
Samsung's camera filename is: 20150705_[bunch of numbers]
google's camera filename is: IMG_20150705_[bunch of numbers]
I took some pictures in the past with the Samsung's default camera and google's default camera last year and in 2014 as well. What confuses me is with both camera apps, some photos change their date & time properties while others do not change their date & time photo properties. For example, a picture I took last year:
filename: 20150705_211518.jpg
with DST enabled:
date created: july 5, 2015 9:15:18 PM
date modified: july 5, 2015 9:15:18 PM
date accessed: july 5, 2015 9:15:18 PM
with DST disabled:
date created: july 5, 2015 8:15:18 PM
date modified: july 5, 2015 8:15:18 PM
date accessed: july 5, 2015 8:15:18 PM
