Emails wont open

I have had my phone for almost a year now and everything worked perfectly until about a month ago, maybe a little longer. When I open my email, both my email accounts appear and tell me I have messages. When I select either account it opens up the email list in the in box. But when I actually click on a message to open it it reverts back to the screen showing my two email accounts. This happens in both accounts. I was able to open and read emails from both accounts in the past so I suspect it has something to do with an update. Any thoughts?
