Question Files from other app folders showing in documents

Hi, I'm new to android and was going through my files and noticed things like photos and videos that were located in other folders showing up in my images and videos category and I found you could do .nomedia to have them not show.

However I also noticed random files from like the drastic and citra folder showing up in documents, is there a way to have these not show up also or is this just how it works on android?

Welcome to Android Central! Those categories (i.e. Images, Videos, Audio, Documents) will include any files that meet those criteria from anywhere in storage. If you want to browse via the actual folder hierarchy itself using Files by Google, scroll down and tap Internal Storage (under Storage Devices).

I think Samsung's My Files does this kind of thing as well.
