Hi Folks
My daughter dropped her phone into bowl with cereal. Since then her Galaxy A12 audio been switching to headphone mode. I replaced the circuit board with headphone and charging plug and still the same. So I installed one of the apps that disables headphone mode and it works for 2-3 seconds only and then comes back to headphone again. Is this a hardware issue or maybe she loaded something on her phone that causing this? I already factory reset the phone and still the same. What can I do to fix this?

Very likely a hardware issue. You can test it out by booting up the phone into Safe Mode (that rules out 3rd party software), but sounds like there's a short circuit somewhere that is making the phone think headphones have been connected to the port.

The problem with liquid damage is that it can be widespread -- so even though you replaced the board with the headphone jack, there could be corrosion elsewhere on the motherboard.
