Instead of Notification Toggle, you should check out Power Controls. It serves the same purpose, is also free, but I find it more elegant with better options.

File Expert - Able to browse Windows/Samba, bluetooth, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and WebDAV
Order & Chaos HD Online - The best MMORPG on Android
GrooVe IP - VoIP through Google Voice I like my phone to have 2 numbers
Amazon Appstore - I like the free app per day even if they suck 90% of the time
HDR Camera - Simply the best camera IMO
QuickPic - My gallery replacement
Battery Monitor Widget Pro - Wonderfully detailed battery logger/analyzer

Thanks for posting this. I checked out QuickPic and really like it. It serves two purposes for me: view photos and properly set wallpaper.

is it bad that i dont have a single app that you listed?

There is absolutely no need for the Volume+ for example. Plus where is google maps and skype? Hand's down #1 and #2 apps.

I don't think there is a top 10 list for the Nexus. They are all Android phones, so whatever apps you like for one are the best for all. There are still a few apps that aren't that crazy about ICS, but most of them run fine.

This should be interesting. I am an app junkie and download stuff all the time just to see what it can do. Right now I would say my top ten are (no particular order)

Wind-up Knight - just a great game
Chrome browser
Evernote - I keep thing like train schedules and model numbers on it.
ScoreMobile - if you like sports and don't have this, you must download now!
Plume - good twitter client - great widget
Dropbox
OpenTable
FiOS Remote - has saved my bacon more than once when I've been caught out and wanted to record a show
BeWeather - great app and widget
Tasker - automates wifi on/off, volume and a couple other things for me, wish I had more time to play with it.

Google wallet, maps, gmail, and music are my most used Google apps.

And then there's the myriad Google apps that I use on a daily basis.

Thats a good point. But there is a great thread over at The Verge in their Android section with a growing list of great Holo theme apps. Not exactly "Nexus" apps, but ICS apps that fit the pure Nexus experience, so pretty close.

EDIT: Here is the link. Lot of great apps here.

This is a really interesting thread -- fascinating to see how others use their devices so differently. Here's my "top ten" apart from the stock apps like Maps and Gmail, and some household specific stuff like LogMeIn, Radio Thermostat, and the Tivo app. And also ignoring "set and forget" utilities like Volume+ and Haxsync.

1. Pocket
2. Airdroid
3. Camera ICS+ (stock cam with more options -- other cameras are more fully featured, but this one has photo/video/panorama integrated like the stock, plus takes advantage of the zero shutter lag)
4. Amazon mp3
5. Writer
6. Chrome Beta
7. Extended Controls
8. Pandora
9. MX Video Player
10. Boid
