Galaxy S4 screen went completely black?

Okay, I was using my galaxy s4 taking a phone call. When I took it away from my face to hang up the screen just went black. The glass screen has a crack on the bottom. But no LCD cracks as far as I can tell. It still comes on and I can still feel the vibrations when touching the screen. Any idea what it could be, and how to fix it?

Pull the battery and reinsert it then try to turn it on
