Question greyed out contacts on Nord 200

OK.. on my wife's nord 200 phone, in her settings I try and click on her contacts but it is greyed out and I can go any further. I asked her, but of course she has no idea. Does that mean she is hiding them?

Welcome to Android Central! What exactly are you doing? You're going to the Settings>Apps menu and trying to tap the Contacts app there?

Any kind of setting for the Contacts app being greyed out would not indicate someone trying to hide something from you. It would also be a terrible hide feature if it announced itself that way.
