has anyone been able to use vpn?

I've been trying to connect to my offices vpn so if can RDP to my desktop but it never connects. I am using the ptp protocol i have the correct server address but it just times out. Any ideas?

Honestly, my Android devices have been the only ones that i have issues configuring PPTP on. Its quite finicky.

I use PPTP to both my house and office on both my EVO and Xoom, other ends are linksys Rv042.

I have vpn setup on a cisco firewall at my office, maybe that's the issue

There is a known bug with Android and PPTP VPN. Some have been able to make it work without encryption but that's pretty much useless. Cisco routers are especially problematic. There is apparently a bug with negotiating the encryption level, at least according to my conversation with Verizon support. Our network folks are investigating how to get out Cisco network to talk to my Xoom. So no, I can't get it to work yet at my workplace.

I use PPTP to connect to my home network through a Linux box.

Has anyone gotten a work around for Cisco VPN, I need to VPNinto my office and nothing I try including purchased software lets me get in.
