Headphone volume control not working!

Any one else have an issue the you can't adjust the volume when headphones are plugged in? The sounds app setter blows up and the volume remains the same.

Woo hoo found a fix. This is a marshmallow problem.

Got to settings/apps
Click on the gear
Select draw over apps
Chick the three dots and select show system
Find system hi app and turn on draw over apps
