Help with notifications

I have a Galaxy Watch 5 and used to have it paired with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. When I'd get notifications, say a text message, I'd get the notification on both the watch and phone. If I had the watch handy, I would read it there, then swipe up to clear it. The notification would remain on the phone however, which I liked as it would serve as a reminder if I wanted to type out a reply. I recently upgraded the phone to a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I had to pretty much reset the watch to get it to pair with that correctly. Now, when I get a notification on both, if I remove it from the watch it removes it from the phone as well. I don't like that. Is there a setting change that would allow me to remove the notification from the watch, but keep it on the phone?
