how do i stop galaxy store from overriding google play store

so i noticed as of late that everytime i try to download something from a link for google play, the galaxy store overrides and takes over. Used to be i could just force stop galaxy store and i wouldnt have problem but that doesnt work anymore. i dont have the option to disable or uninstall galaxy store. and when given the option to select one, if i select google play store, the galaxy store overrides and takes over. i even tried making google play my default app and selected always open with google play, but when i hit the link to download once again it always goes to galaxy store. I dont care for galaxy store, dont want galaxy store, dont care what benefits galaxy store has, i just want to go back to google play being my only apps manager. is there some way to stop this from happening every time i want to download an app?

You can use this app to disable Galaxy store for few bucks , but i recommend keeping it as it updates your core Samsung app, the Galaxy store.

Which Samsung phone ?

Go settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap and choose reset app preferences see if that helps
